scikit-learn Sprint in Nairobi, Kenya
Almost a year ago, after being the co-speaker of a “My first open source contribution” talk at PyData Berlin 2018, I myself became very motivated and started actively contributing to the scikit-learn
project. I was surprised to see how much I could and had to learn to improve my contributions, and that was after over 20 years of programming experience, 6 years of which I did mostly Python, and several years of working in the industry. It wasn’t even the first time I was contributing to an open source project, but it was the first time I was actively looking for issues to fix.
